Mrignayani Kotecha
Dr. Mrignayani Kotecha is a founding member and CEO of Chicago-based biotech company O2M
Technologies. In this role, Dr. Kotecha leads business strategy, execution, and development while
maintaining the company’s unique culture of innovation in the field of EPR imaging, instrumentation, spin-
probes, and its applications to biomedical sciences. She also leads the “Oxygen Measurement Core”
research facility that collaborates with leading academic, government, and industry members to perform
cutting-edge research involving oxygen imaging. Dr. Kotecha has a Ph.D. in Physics and 30+ years of
experience in magnetic resonance technologies. She is the lead editor of the 2017 Wiley book “Magnetic
Resonance Imaging in Tissue Engineering” and a guest editor of a special issue, June 2024, about “EPR
Imaging and Applications to Biology,” for the journal “Molecular Imaging and Biology”. Dr. Kotecha
received the 2024 C. William Hall Award from the “Society for Biomaterials” for her contribution to the
field. She is serving as the vice chair of the upcoming 64 th annual Rocky Mountain Conference on
Magnetic Resonance (RMCMR), Aug 3-7, 2025, in Snowbird, Utah.
