Brittney Garner completed her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Toxicology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), successfully defending her dissertation in 2020. Concurrently with her graduate studies, she received a Graduate Certificate in Regulatory Sciences from the UAMS in 2020.
From 2019-2020, in concurrence with her graduate studies, Dr. Garner went to work part time for a medical device start-up company, NuShores Biosciences LLC (NuShores), as a Regulatory Specialist. Upon successfully defending her dissertation in November 2020, she transitioned to a full-time role with NuShores as a Regulatory Scientist (2020-2021) and Regulatory & Quality Manager (2021-2022). While at NuShores, Dr. Garner authored and implemented a Quality Management System, was the lead contact for contract research organizations, supervised preclinical research studies, and led Q-submission discussions with the FDA.
Dr. Garner has worked as a Regulatory Scientist at Cook Medical since February 2022. Her current role includes supporting global new product development, providing support during the design controls/design & development process, interacting with regulatory authorities, and assisting in continuous improvement efforts.
